SKYWALK TO BE BUILT!

A NEW ICONIC PLACE & ATTRACTION has made it right through to being funded for $2 million. This will be a great addition to our town incorporating Aboriginal, Celtic, Cosmic and Geotourism into the experience whilst redeveloping Martin’s Lookout. A place I remember fondly as a teenager 😉. Thanks Adam Marshall and Carol Sparks for believing in this idea and helping to make it happen.
And there is more to come for improving local amenity whilst building our tourism product and diversifying our local economy.

Self publish in style

Since becoming resident wordsmith at The Makers Shed in 2018, I’ve been asked many time to host a self-publishing workshop, and now it’s happening! Mark your diaries for Saturday May 15, 1-4pm at 123 Grey Street Glen Innes.

Tailored for those wanting to independently publish a book, this 3-hour session covers the essentials of independently publish a paperback, hardback and/or an ebook, without getting ripped off along the way. I’ll dispel the myths and show you behind the scenes of what it takes to create a book from scratch, and set you on your path.

Places are strictly limited and bookings can be made via The Makers Shed website.

I also encourage local wordsmiths and readers to mark their diaries for the third annual High Country Writers Festival & Writers Retreat, taking place from October 14-18 at various Glen Innes locations. Retreat bookings are now open on the festival website, with excellent early-bird offers that include FREE access to all festival sessions.
