Richard Moon is an artisan silversmith and jewellery manufacturer based at The Makers Shed, 123 Grey Street Glen Innes. He sources design inspiration and materials from all things retro, recycled and re-purposed. Wherever possible, all his work is created using sustainable and recycled materials and techniques. "Everything I make is different. I don’t have a particular style and I sometimes create lines of jewellery. Inspiration can come on the spur of the moment or evolve over weeks," he says. "The finished result is not always exactly as the idea began, but nothing goes up for sale until I am happy with it as a very special piece". Richard co-designs original pieces for customers with design ideas; remodels existing pieces; does jewellery repairs and holds regular silversmithing workshops at The Makers Shed.
