We’ve developed a digital solution that can benefit our local visitor economy and need your support for an upcoming grant application.
WHAT IS IT?
Our new Tourism Packages and Itinerary Planner is a web-based system that provides visitors a seamless end-to-end experience for discovery, planning and booking trips to regional Australia. Built upon best in class software, our application is designed to meet the needs of the growing custom package market and regional road-tripper – both domestic and international.
HOW DOES IT BENEFIT LOCAL BUSINESS?
For local businesses, the new app creates a cost effective new digital distribution channel with lower commission rates. It will also help bring smaller providers online and seek new local product/experiences.
HOW DOES IT BENEFIT LOCAL COUNCIL?
For council, it creates a new revenue stream and delivers new tools for promoting the variety of experiences on offer in an area. This will enable additional resourcing for the sector, additional marketing and communications to attract more tourists and create more experiences and products.
HOW DOES IT BENEFIT THE COMMUNITY?
For the public/community this project will enable local economic recovery following drought, bushfires and Covid-19 through the creation of local lobs and facilitation of value-added tourism product development. In turn increasing GRP and assisting in reducing local economic volatility through industry diversification.
HOW DOES IT BENEFIT THE REGION?
The regional opportunity should the project roll out to other regions will drive interstate tourism and following the opening of our borders drive international visitation to the regions. Glen Innes has an opportunity to lead the way and roll this platform out firstly among the new England High Country Tourism Group and more broadly.
Simply, our new Tourism Packages and Itinerary Planner promotes economic development by enabling those authentic local experiences that every traveler desire to be found and organised into an individual customer journey experience.
WHY WE NEED LETTERS OF SUPPORT?
We have secured letters of support from Destination Country & Outback, Regional Development Australia Northern Inland and Regional Australia Institute. For this grant application we would like to include as many letters of support from local businesses to bolster the rational to fund.

The grant application deadline is 2nd September – if you are happy to supply a letter of support please send to Margot by Friday 27th August.
